“Akumu” is Japanese for Nightmare, which is reflected in each design created. The designs are heavily inspired by everything coming from Japan, from its terrifying horror movies to its cute pop icons. Some of the artwork is also inspired by classic stories like Alice in Wonderland, along with artists like Edward Gorey and Tim Burton.
